DKC - Digital Knowledge Central - The DKC project provides members access to a robust collection of online databases.
Britannica Online
- Britannica Online School Edition gives teachers and students instant
access to four complete encyclopedias that ensure consistency with
classroom topics and age appropriate language. High quality online
learning materials have been developed by teachers and curriculum
experts to assist and support teaching strategies in the classroom.
EBSCO - EBSCO
enables students and teachers access to both EBSCOhost and
Searchasaurus, an icon-based middle and primary search tool. These two
online databases provide the highest quality full text periodicals,
full text biographies, primary source documents, essays, encyclopedias,
almanacs, reference books, pamphlets, newspapers, transcripts, photos,
maps. These resources complement EBSCO’s superior periodical collection.
Facts on File
- Facts on File provides access to the following databases: General
History, American History, American women's History, History &
Culture (African-American, American Indian, Ancient History), Health
Reference Center. It also gives access to printable handout for
teachers, Literary Reference Online, Ferguson's Guidance Center on
careers, and Personal & business forms.
NETTREKKER: Educational
website search engine. The websites are screened for appropriate
content and subject focus. Features include: Timeline, Famous Persons,
Images, Reference, and Teacher Tools.
NewsBank - NewBank’s
expansive collections and curriculum integration tools are explicitly
designed to help Texas students and educators improve the quality of
research, thinking, and learning.
