Mission
Santa Rosa ISD provides access to the District’s technology resources for instructional and administrative purposes and in accordance with administrative regulations, for student and staff use.
Access is a privilege, not a right. Access entails responsibility. If a user violates any of the acceptable use provisions outlined in this document, future access will be denied. Any user violating the provisions contained herein, any applicable state or federal law, policies posted in classrooms, and/or district policies in effect will be subject to the loss of Technology privileges. District disciplinary action consistent with district policies will be taken accordingly.
Policies
Technology Work Order Requests:
- All Technology work order requests must be submitted online via our work order system.
- Technology work orders will be attended in the order they are received
- Please do not communicate work order request verbally to technicians. Maintaining a written record of requests is important to our district and will help us verify the kinds of problems in our district equipment.
Password Requirements
All passwords must be constructed and implemented according to the Santa Rosa ISD Information Technology standards:
- Must be at least eight characters long including:
- Special characters (!*@#$)
- Numbers
- Uppercase and lowercase letters
- Must be changed every 90 days
- You may not use an old password
- Must not be anything that can be tied back to the account owner (username, nickname, DOB)
All passwords must be confidential. After five failed attempts your account will be locked.

Email Use Policy
Santa Rosa ISD provides access to email for employees for the purpose of school-related communications. The purpose of the Santa Rosa ISD Email Policy is to establish the rules for the use of Santa Rosa ISD email for the sending, receiving or storing electronic mail.
The following activities are prohibited by policy:
- Sending intimidating or harassing emails
- Violating copyright laws by inappropriately distributing protected works.
- Sending/forwarding emails that can potentially contain computer viruses.
